Did You know?
March is National Nutrition Awareness Month
As we approach the end of another month, let us reexamine the goals we started the year with. Did you get rid of all the temptations in your home or apartment?
Did you tell yourself you are not going to eat out.
Instead, you banished all those unhealthy habits. Like eating tons of sugar, carbs, or bread. In doing, so many of us made that terrible mistake and fell into a pit of self-indulgence.
If you have fallen off the wagon, this issue is for you.
What if I tell you of a proven wellness method?
What if implementing one habit weekly will help you carry out your wellness goals?
Starting small will allow you to focus on one goal at a time.
When you adopt change, this means you must make a shift in your mindset and behaviors. Discipline can also play a role in your success in making habits stick.
What Is Discipline?
Discipline is just a series of simple decisions you make every day.
Never focus on perfection! Keep your goals aligned with progress.
You must learn to think differently about food.
You will also need to learn where your food comes from. Understanding this will help you appreciate the time and effort it takes to own and grow food. Understanding how to cook and learning that food is medicine. Food has the necessary nutrients the body needs to thrive. Each nutrient plays a role in terms of how it affects your body. This information is priceless. Eating an array of different fruits and veggies will help you in learning to love them. You might “Love the foods that will love you back!”
Once you start eating more plants, you will develop a taste for healthier foods.
Also, you might want to include some movements and everyday exercise in your daily routine. It will help you to feel better and lighter! Getting outside will allow you to connect with nature and the people around you. Once you notice a slight change, you will not want to feel the same way you once did! It is all about nourishing your mind, body, and soul.
Some days are better than others, but you will always know you are reaching for better goals. Always keep your goals in front of you! Like I said at the beginning, choose discipline now versus later. Sometimes we feel we must walk down this path alone. Remember, you are not alone!
