Hi Friends!
I hope all is well!
Today, I am thrilled to share my recipe for Crispy Tofu with you.
As someone with a soy allergy, creating a Tofu recipe was quite challenging.
However, after many attempts, I finally achieved the perfect crispiness and taste that I was looking for.
The best part? Everyone who tried my Tofu said that it tasted just like chicken!
Even my husband, who is not a fan of Tofu, couldn’t get enough of it. I’m confident that you’ll love this recipe just as much as everyone else did.
I know that there are many tofu recipes out there, but I wanted to add my unique take to the mix.
So give this recipe a try let me know what you think.
I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The Recipe:
Crispy Tofu
3 - 4 Servings
Ingredients:
8 oz extra firm tofu (I used tofu from Trader Joes)
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp of black pepper
1 tbsp of arrowroot powder or cornstarch plus 1/4 tsp for sauce
1 tbsp of low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
Instructions:
Preheat stainless steal pan or cast iron pan on low heat.
Wrap your extra firm tofu with paper towel to absorb any extra liquid. You
want your tofu dry before cutting into it. Remove paper towel after drying.
Take tofu and cut into small cubes, then add to a mixing bowl. Add your dry
ingredients (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper) into the mixing bowl and coat tofu with seasoning. Mix properly.
Increase heat to medium. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to pan. When the pan is hot
add the seasoned tofu. Let tofu brown for about 3 -5 mins before turning.
Repeat step for each side until they are golden brown.
Turn heat off and leave tofu in pan.
In a mixing bowl add your low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos, and add
1/4 tsp of cornstarch or arrowroot powder. Mix well.
Turn heat back on and wait till the pan re-heats. Then add wet mixture to tofu.
Let wet mixture coat tofu. Allow wet mixture to be absorbed by the tofu for an
extra 3-5 mins on low heat.
Serve your crispy tofu with a salad or sweet potatoes or add to your favorite grain bowl. Enjoy!

This looks great! I love tofu and don’t always get it to be crispy enough without it being too dry on the inside. This recipe seems like would produce such the desired. Thank you!
Loving this recipe, it is so tasty and delicious. Thanks so much
